Received the curve as open box and call tmobile to figure out what happened. They said it’s ok “the phone is brand new”. 1 month later, I get flash errors (risk of loosing my contacts). Called for replacement and they offer a “used” blackberry.
So in a 30 day period, I had to argue with customer service to get a used phone as a new customer. Suggestion: if you want a blackberry head to another mobile provider.
Now where is that 0 star option.

The curve has great potential. Many available applications, internet, video, pictures, music…but it is a very limited device. As it turns out it is very sensitive to having multiple things open at once. This can mean internet and photo, photo and text, etc. If you have a few things open you stand a great chance of it freezing. I do not heavily push the limits of my phone but I have it freeze often once a day. Which means I have to remove the battery and wait for a long reboot.
Tech support told me this “you have to close every other application before opening up a new one”.
I thought this was supposed to be a smart phone…
I can tell you I will not likely buy another blackberry, at least until they fix it. It could be such a nice phone if it was not so tempermental.
Oh also, forget about running blackberryapps program, it slows down the system so much.

I bought the blackberry in December 2007. Within a month, there were problems with memory, recalling numbers, keypad etc.
In March, I spent much time with T-Mobile technical support to fix these issues. They suggested I needed a memory card even though I was emailing very little and was not downloading applications, data … I have been erasing all calls, texts etc every day since. The problems have continued.
It is now June 1, 2008, I am demanding that T-Mobile replace an obvious defective handset and I am being met with resistance. They want me to buy a memory card and I am refusing. ( Two other family members have this same Curve and use it to collect data much more than I do and have had not issues)
I would suggest to all buyuers to go with another carrier to avoid the problems I am having.

I am very pleased with my new Blackberry Curve. I had a Palm since 1989 and was a loyal client but both of my last 2 Palm devices failed do to design flaws with no compensation or useful assistance from Palm. My last Palm was a top of the line Treo. Blackberry customer service has been very helpful and very responsive. So far I am very content with the device as well as the ease of synchronizing to my computer. My only negative at this point is that the keys are very small and a little difficult to see if not in good lighting.

Best deal EVER. Perfect for busy people who don’t want multiple gadgets to keep track of. It has everything I need to stay organized–email, calendar, internet, maps, task list.
