i got one. it works good, but the mike plays a bit messy…. i just got one just to have it. for $3.00. y not?

My personal experience with this item is that I had a malfunction with my current sound card, something causing me to transmit what I am receiving. I had checked every option on my computer, came to the conclusion that my sound card was shot. I purchased this item as a cheap way to talk to others with Ventrilo or Teamspeak. This item did not work with Ventrilo at all, it made me sound like I was a dot matrix printer on speed. Teamspeak worked beautifully with it, until the sound card caught on fire. I unplugged it and made sure there was no damage to anything around it, thankfully there wasn’t. I did however, plug my headset back into my regular sound card so I could at least hear something, and while switching my input settings back to my webcam until I could replace my sound card again, I noticed that my sound card works again. Not sure what it was, but this item catching on fire seemed to fix my sound card. My review, 3 stars. 1 star for not working for vent, 3 stars for working on Teamspeak, and 5 stars for fixing my old sound card.

So I got it now and plugged it in, just to find out it doesn’t work with macs for my turtle beach. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a turtle beach that it doesn’t work, but the fact of the matter is, it doesn’t work for me.

This adapter is not worth the money at all. Do not buy it. It has terrible audio replication, and has a dirty beeping noise that it sends through the output. Also, returning it is not an option because they would not refund my shipping, and wanted me to pay to ship it back. NOT WORTH IT!!!

If you’re using this as an adapter to plug a headset into it to use in a USB port, don’t waste your time or your money. Buy a genuine USB headset.. This thing is nothing more than a circuit board surrounded by a piece of cheap plastic. And forget about returning it — they don’t respond. So, try elsewhere and avoid this product! Not worth the .19 cents its priced at now.
