Help answer the question about compaq

What is the difference between different models in the compaq presario cq60 line?
I just bought a compaq Presario cq60-417dx and I can't figure out what the difference is between others, for example Compaq Presario CQ60-220US. Is the difference what is installed like hard drave and memory or are they completely different. Can I install parts in my that are from different model but still a cq60 series?

I have the HP 510, the same as the video and it is not rubbish. Already 2 years I have it, and it still works fine. The Wifi never gave me any problems. It is not the faster computer, but it’s enough for a normal use, you can still play many games, the RAM is ok if you won’t do great things with it. It’s an HP, and the price is reasonable, also it comes with Windows XP that I think it’s better than Vista and you can install Ubuntu too. I have both systems installed and no problems.

Well,Ihave this 2.22MB cache

For Windows XP

If the computer is running it is best to shut down Windows and then turn off the power.

Begin by first clicking on the Start Button and then click on Turn Off Computer.

Now click on the Turn Off red colored icon to shut down your computer system.

It is best to wait between 15 to 30 seconds before you turn your system back on.

Turn on your computer and start tapping the F8 key on your keyboard.

Some Computers may display a keyboard error message if you begin tapping F8 too quickly.

Restart your computer again and begin tapping the F8 key a brief second or two later.

When the Windows Advanced Options Menu appears, Choose the Safe Mode option and hit Enter.

Windows will now boot your computer up in Safe Mode.

Right click on your desktop and select "Personalize" from the drop down menu. Then select "Desktop background." Your old background may appear on this screen. If not, click the down arrow next to "Location" and select "Windows Wallpapers" or whichever file location you think your old background was saved in. Also, you can change other settings under the Personalize area.

I bought this in October 2007, upgraded it to Windows XP Pro, put in 3 GB of ram to increase it’s gaming cababilities (even though it’s not a good gamer), had put in a lit keyboard. I even got BluRay to go inside of this, but it came with a cost that is not worth it.

Laptop Price at the time: $740 @ BestBuy
Windows XP Pro: $180
3 GB RAM: somewhere near $90 i think
Lit Keyboard: $35
BluRay slot: $248 at the time
——————————————-
total w/ tax: nearly $1350 (bad)

If the recovery partition is missing or corrupt then you will have to use a disk.

You'd have to check the specs and comapare

no hdmi?
