My son spilled water on my laptop and my keyboard seemed to be the only thing malfunctioning. I ordered this replacement, it arrived quickly, and it works wonderfully! Feels and looks exactly like the original. Hooray for not having to buy a whole new computer!

OK, so I spilled some coffee (with the help of my Springer Spaniel)on my laptop. The keyboard stopped working; I restarted the comp and…could not even log on, because there was no way to type the password. That’s when I panicked… Next step: researched suggestions and possible solutions on Internet. After sorting out all kinds of draining (done), drying (done), taking apart, cleaning, rinsing in different liquids (not feasible, not for me, plus the effect of the procedures was dubious at best), the three choices left were:
- getting an external USB keyboard and keeping using it instead of the dysfunctional one; quite inconvenient, but that’s the first thing I did, since it let me use the laptop right away: salvation for the short term, but undesirable for the long run;
- tossing the laptop and buying a new one; an attractive option with a few “minor” disadvantages: money and time expenditures required;
- getting a replacement keyboard. That, unexpectedly, was easy, thanks to Amazon! And inexpensive by any means. The package arrived quickly. Now, I would not be the person to get inside a computer; so, a savvy friend was enlisted. Fortunately, it did not take more than 30 minutes, including finding the related Dell manual and replacement instructions online (address provided in the paper accompanying replacement keyboard} and was not difficult or complex at all – I watched, and even I could do it! Next time, God forbid…
Anyways, the replaced keyboard fits and has been working flawlessly for the past month, it looks and feels the same as the replaced one, and gives me joy every time I think about it: some things in this world can still be fixed!

with the water spill on it, the functionality was zeoparadized. I was skeptical about changing keyboard on my laptop. I gained confidence finding this item on Amazon, its ease of replacement instructions, timely delivery and quality of the product, made the whole change event very convenient and successful

The HPRP Keyboard for Dell Inspiron 1501 saved the day, or at least saved my laptop. I dripped water onto the factory installed keyboard and worried that I ruined my laptop for good! A few clicks later, I had discovered that one could replace a keyboard.
This product, sold by Osprey-Talon, is a perfect replacement. It was easy to install, looks and feels the same as the original keyboard, and was a great value for the price. It arrived well in advance of the date promised, which was also a plus. The only change I’d like to see the vendor make is to allow the use of Amazon Prime shipping. Overall, however, I couldn’t be happier with this product or the merchant from whom I obtained it.
