I tested both memories separate and they work.
For some reason, they don’t work together (4gb) in my hp notebook dv2500.
I can’t blame the momories and so far they are working just perfect.
Won’t give 5 stars as I didn’t figure out if it is a memory issue.

Will Not work in either of our laptops, The computer shop says they have not determined what they are compatable with. I have opened them therfore I can’t return them.

it seems to woek okay when I intalled 2 months ago… but I had to send the macbook to apple since it had a backlight problem and the macbook came back with the memory in a separate package and a note saying that it did not pass apple diagnostics…. re-installed and the macbook again seems to recognize the memory of 4 gb and no error messages so I do not know what is up… I will try to diagnose with the apple cd toolkit and see what I get.

Received fast (as usual) from Amazon.
Put it on my Presario Notebook. Windows Viste 32 bit ‘see’ it as 4GB, but if I see the taskmanager, the Phisical memory is only 3GB. Is okay, since my Notebook is not 64 bit capable, I have to live with that.

People sometimes mislead the frequency rate(667Mhz)of memory. It will NOT speed up your Notebook at all (if you put higher rate that you have installed). UNLESS you OVERCLOCK the Notebook (which I never do. I always OC my Desktop though). I put 7200 rpm disk, which really speed up some of task.
But Again, I do gain from 2.5GB ram to 3 GB ram with this purchase (without remarkable speed increase). What I gain is the ability to work more simultanous task before the OS start paging into disk (which in turn slow down).

Works fine in terms of campatibility. Machine is much faster than it was in its original form with 1 GB. But the 4 GB only recognized as 3 GB, not sure why. I also contacted the seller, no reply.
