This auto charger works as promised. Anyone who spent a lot of money on a Macbook should have one. It may be your only way to charge your laptop if the power goes out at home. Yes, you could use a standard inverter with a regular charger, but that’s a whole lot more bulky and heavier than this device alone.
Also, if your business depends on your laptop working all the time, it’s a good investment to have a back-up charger …. And if you’re going to have a back-up charger, this should be it. There are cheap little adapters that convert a cig lighter plug into an AC plug. Those can be had at any Radio Shack. They are usually used by people who have a cellphone car charger and want to plug it into a wall at home. Again, that’s a much smaller, lighter combo than having a normal Macbook charger and a normal inverter.
