My new Acer laptop keeps on turning off by itself when I am having a video call on MSN or skype. What is wrong?

Laptop is only 2 days old. It keeps on turning off by itself after being on the video call for 30 minutes or so. Is this normal for an Acer laptop?
The laptop is not hot or anything.
I had a Sony laptop before for 4 years and never had this problem. Can someone help?

Your computer may not be properly cooled, if it gets to hot it will shut off. Its a safety feature to make sure your computer does not melt. I would check your temps with a desktop utility or through your bios. If you want to see the error message that your computer is displaying do this. Right click on “My Computer”>Click “Advance” Tab”>Click on “Start-up and Recovery” and make sure the box that says “Automatically reboot” is unchecked. Now you should be able to see what the error message is, write it down and google it. That will give you a better idea on why your computer is shutting off.
