This charger would never stay plugged together and the electrical connectors inside broke after just 2 weeks.:(

Ordered a AC adapter and cord from Smart Parts USA, was expecting HP product, received generic, it did not work with my laptop despite coming up on an Amazon search for the original HP part number.
Was a cheap part, intended to eat the loss and move on, but Amazon pestered me to write feedback. Described problem as above and was immediately contacted by seller contradicting me and claiming the part was never described as OEM, please remove my comment. Tried to verify this but somehow the link in my order history now points to this part. Oh well, life goes on.
Or not. Received ANOTHER email from Smart Parts nagging me to remove my comment because it is ‘misleading.’ Tell that to the 5 or 6 other people who posted the same complaint in the last month or so; seller keeps blaming ‘faulty parts.’ Looks like the ‘misleading’ statements are in the compatibility claims, not the customer responses.
I do not intend to say any more on this matter unless harassed by Smart Parts again. If they continue to annoy me I will continue to escalate the audience of these complaints. Best option at this point is to just leave the issue alone and stop sweating their perfectly adequate 94% rating.
