Bless Verizon!!!!! Not only do they have the worst customer service in the world they also love taking a GOOD SOLID phone from a manufacturer and JACKIN IT UP!!!!!!! Now how did Verizon jack this phone up? Number 1, the user interface is again altered to match what Verizon wants. The one thing about Samsung is their amazing user interface and menu style options. That’s what set them apart from the other cell phone designers out there. The nice menu style with colorful icons is gone here as Verizon completely over hauled the interface to that awful tab like features as if you’re on a computer etc. Ughhh Verizon just knows how 2 mess a good thing up. With Sprint coming out with the Samsung Instinct this Glyde is just gonna fall into the shadows. On top of that the camera is only a 2.0 mega pixel. Every Asian & European country has 5.0 mega pixels and above. What is wrong with the US? Let’s get up with the program. Verizon’s V Cast logo also takes up 2 much screen space. When are they ever gonna LEARN???!! Save your money and get the Samsung Instinct or the new iPhone. I can’t wait till AT&T gets their 1st Samsung touch phone. THIS DOES NOT COME with INSTANT MESSAGING!!!!! NO AOL, YAHOO, or MSN on this phone. IM is not allowed.

I just wanted to chime in that this phone isn’t as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Yes, the touchscreen is lacking, but I’ve still been able to use mine just fine. I encourage everyone to write Samsung so we can get a firmware upgrade soon.

That said, the phone is feature packed and looks real cool. I’ve had no problems with reception and am enjoying the nice big screen. There are no issues going to landscape and back, and the keyboard has good response. The dialpad buttons are plenty big and the camera works well also. OK, it’s not a Cannon Rebel or anything, but for a cell phone it ain’t too shabby.

I was so excited to bring home the Samsung Glyde! And I spent the rest of the day trying to get used to the touch screen and such. After about 5 days, I have decided to exchange my phone for something else. The touch screen is hard to navigate, the screen freezes up, the phone’s screen alignment keeps messing up, people cannot understand me on the other end, and it is difficult to end calls (bc first you have to turn the screen on, then unlock the screen, then clear out of the screen, and finally end the call).

I just bought this phone and I think it’s great. I read some of the negative reviews and have not had those problems with my phone. I think Samsung has fixed some of the touchscreen problems or glitches. I have not had any issues with screen sensitivity or being able to scroll. Everyone hears me fine on the phone as I have not received complaints of being hard to hear or being muffled like my old phone. The battery lasts a long time. I use this phone for personal use and business calls and it has been very reliable. The keyboard functions well and I am able to type messages with ease. Overall, I am quite pleased with this phone.
