You know, when you say somthing is Chinese junk, you usually mean it is a type of oriental boat, not this time. I bought 2 of these to use as inputs to my laptop from a sound mixer for remote locations. Big mistake… poor sound quality for anything but room ambience. The problem seems to be that the “soundcard” amplifies the signal to the max. I have found that if you turn the mixer control as low as possible, and turn down the mic controls on the laptop that you can get a passable signal, though not of any quality as to be considered seriously…pass on this one.

I bought one of these and I can tell you unequivocally that it does not work. This is not the report of a neophyte to computers or audio equipment; I know both, and this unit does not do the job. It’d be so nice if converting RCA to USB was easy and affordable, but the adapter needed to do it is a shade more expensive, in the $50-$100 range.

Only used it on a Mac to enable regular headset use. Not impressed. The speaker volume blasts out at max and doesn’t want to adjust.

This little device works like a dream….sound is crisp and clear-I’m a sound energy guru so i know what quality sound energy sounds like!
The software also allows you to use additional affects and stuff.
good buy for your buck!

I ordered two of these (since they’re so small they would be easy to lose). With a MacBook, I got an unacceptable amount of hum and distortion on both of them. Not just a “little” bit bad but REALLY bad sound. Absolutely useless. I didn’t even bother to try the microphone.
